Peace Begins With A Smile

Written by guest author: Joram Ibyimanikora

Some people come into your life as a blessing, some people as a lesson. If you want to change the world, go home and love your family. God doesn’t require you to succeed, He just wants you to try. If you judge people, you will not have time to love them. Do things for people, not for who they are or what they can do for you; but because of who you are. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. You only have today, so begin to live it. Every time you smile at someone; it’s a gesture of love, a gift that you long for, a very beautiful thing. Transmit love wherever you go. Peace begins with a smile.

Guseka byongera iminsi yo kubaho.” [Smile and laugh to increase the days of your life.]

Read:

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

“I press on to reach the end of the race, and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:14

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

Pray:

Father God,

I thank you for giving us words to proclaim your goodness! I think of Jesus, and how he was a better Jonah. I think of Jesus, and how he was a better Jacob. Lord, just like Jonah and Jacob, I sometimes RUN the opposite direction than You want me to go. At times when You want me to smile, I turn it upside-down. I am thankful today for the Holy Spirit, living right inside of me. I know that all I have to do is try, just be a willing vessel, and You will be the Victor! Today and everyday, let my smile be filled with Your light. Allow this simple gesture of love, that doesn’t cost me a dime, transmit Your peace and Your love wherever I go. In Jesus’ precious name,

Amen
