Matthew 13:23
As I look back over my 39 years of life, I can see that as a young person, I heard God’s word and was excited about it, but that seed wasn’t watered and the roots didn’t grow very deep. This caused the fruit in my life to be quite small. The soil was good. The seed was good. There was just enough watering to allow the plant to stay alive. It wasn’t until the last 11 years, that I started knowing who God is, developing my relationship with Jesus, diving deeply into His Word and now fruit is evident in an abundance. The fruit of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control. In the past year and a half, as I submit to the Holy Spirit to lead me in my life, there has been a fertilizer…all the pruning and cutting have spurred a growth that is phenomenal. The fruit is sweet and the harvest is plenty. The grass truly is greener where you water it. Are you watering yours? I would love to hear back from you about your testimony of how the Holy Spirit has shaped your life into the fruitful one that is evident now.
